AAP’s Bhagwant Maan, Khera, Simranjit singh arrested in Chandigarh

AAP’s senior leaders were arrested by the Chandigarh police, while they protesting against the large scale corruption going in the state. AAP leaders alleged that Captain government is having hand in gloves with previous Akali government and is shielding their leaders who were named in corruption cases.

Sukhpal Singh Khera who is also the leader of opposition told the media person, that the out going Akali government helped Captain Amarinder Singh by closing corruption cases against him. Captains name came forward in much famous Amritsar city center scam, was given white chit by his government just after they came to power.

A large number of AAP supporters of the party planned to protest in the city beautiful, but Chandigarh police used water canon’s to disperse them to avoid unwanted situation. Senior leaders along with supporters were taken in the buses which were kept there to arrest them and take them to the police station.

APP supporters were seen confronting with the police. Police kept the cool and used only water canons before arresting the protestors. Mr. Sukhpal Khera demanded that the investigation of the Amritsar City center scam should be taken out of Punjab, and preferably handed over to CBI to investigate.

Khera alleged that Amarinder Singh also arranged clean chit for Rana Gurjit, whose name came forward in the sand scam, where in his employees were given contracts worth crores.

AAP’s Punjab leader Bhagwant Maan told the media persons that Badal’s had given clean chit to Captain in Amritsar city center scam, just before they got out of power and interestingly Captain has given clean chit to himself in Ludhiana Trust scam. He said they are promoting clean chit culture, and all scammers like Tota Singh, Maluka, and Majithia have clean chit now. He questioned that when all leaders and senior government officers are having clean chits, then who is responsible for scams, where all that money had gone.
