“I did have a dream wedding and I have to thank my family and friends, particularly my mother for making it possible. We employed no wedding designer, and my mom managed every little detail.

Publicize across three cities, I am so happy we decided to have pheras at our home in Delhi. Some 10 priests recited the mantras at pheras and then there were traditional wedding songs that kept the ceremony sacred and sacrosanct.

I was very young when my father would hear me hum and tell my mom that I have a sweet voice. I started preparing at the age of six on my father’s demand. The credit goes to my mother that after we lost dad and moved to Delhi; she made sure that I kept on learning music.

This is not easy that one fine day you just go and start singing; you have to practice daily for years. I started playback singing when I was hardly 20 and slowly and steadily I have found my niche in the industry. Tum Jo Aaye Zindagi Mein has been the turning point in my career.” she said
