AAP workers raised voice against list of 19 candidates :

Aam Aadmi Party released the list of its 19 candidates for Punjab assembly elections due in 2017. It is the first party that releases the list of candidates. As expected those who do not get ticked raised their voice against the party’s system of distributing tickets. Anti party voices were raised from various constituencies and revolt within the party is growing with every passing day.

Those who opposing the party list alleged that they have worked hard for the party to make it strong and helped party to spread, but at the time of ticket distribution , they have been totally ignored. They have been forced to ignore local leader and go along parachute leaders, whom no one knows.

First revolt have seen in Balachaur , where Brig. Raj Kumar is given ticket. Those against his nomination have written 25 point letter to the high command, where in they have mentioned why Rajkumar should not be given ticket. They are demanding ticket for local leader and worker Parvesh Khosla. They alleged that Brig.

Raj kumar is a parachute candidate, who belong to GarhShankar and lives in Delhi. He do not know anyone , and party workers on the same time are not happy to have parachute candidate. Brig. Raj kumar on the other hand, said, he was born and brought up here only , and all the party workers are with him. He further told that there were many people who were claiming ticket for this seat , but most of them are with him. He said accept 2 or 3 , all other leader , almost 15 of the claimants are sitting with him.

Parvesh Khosla himself opposed the way party has taken decision on the ticket. He clearly opposed the party decision and it is wrong and unfair decision by the party. Brig. Raj kumar claimed that he is one who helped party to set up its base in Balachaur.

Similar news of opposing ticket is from Bassi Pathana, here party workers are supporting Manjinder singh romi and opposing party candidate Santokh singh Salana on the same lines of Balachaur, i.e. , a parachute candidate. They alleged that one who deserve Bassi Pathana seat has been side lined by the party.

Party workers said Romi is the person who keep them intact and loyal to the party till date. They quoted the case of Khalsa, party MP , who later left the party. They said after Khalsa turned against the party , party workers were confused and double minded, they were not able to take decision to stay with the party or leave the party and join Khalsa, but at that time Romi took the lead and played an important role of leader to keep the party intact in the area.

They said few party leaders are ignoring the deserving candidates, party should stick to its base philosophy of distributing tickets to the deserving candidates only. Anyways this is just the first list of candidates, let’s see what happen in the following lists.
