Akali leader arrested in Kidnapping case

Punjab police have claimed to solve kidnapping and extortion case by arresting one akali leaders son and his close relative.

Actually one business man Chaman lal who is Breta area, was kidnapped in Mansa few months back, and kidnappers asked for one crore rupees and extortion money. Family members of the Person who was kidnapped, actually paid the amount after around seventeen days of kidnapping, to set him free and kidnappers let him go after getting the said money.

Mansa police arrested the main accused Kalyan singh Dharampura who is general secretory of youth Akali Dal Malwa zone one. Kalyan singh Dharampura is actually real son of SukhChain Singh who is SGPC member and also general secretory of Sant Samaj organisation. Kalyan singh is having criminal history and already half a dozen cases are pending on him.

Mansa police arrested Kalyan singh and his close relative with cash extorted from the victim along with car used in the crime. Police claimed to have recovered around 22 lakh and fifty thousand rupees out of one crore that was actually paid.

Akali leaders are in news for anti social activities, recently one akali leader who is sarpanch of Kherra Jattan in Patiala resorted to gundagardi and attacked a family from his own village. Bhagwan giri who sustained injuries was having some property dispute with the Akali Sarpanch.

Latest update on businessman kidnapping

Mandher Singh SSP Mansa told that police have recovered foreign currency notes from the kidnappers along with Indian currency notes, in the form of US Dollars, England Pounds, and Euros. He also disclosed the name of accomplice of Kalyan singh ,who is first cousin too, as Gurpreet singh chahal.

SSP also told that kidnapper hired a taxi around month ago and after over powering the driver, run away along with the car, which they later used for kidnapping.

On the other hand family member told the whole story of kidnapping. Brother of the kidnapper told that they kept him in some bunker and gave him food once a day only. His condition was very miserable .
