Vinod Kumar AAP’s candidate from Bhoa constituency of Pathankot , has alleged that senior AAP leader Sanjay singh and Durgesh Pathak demanded 1 crore from him. He said party leaders asked for this money for election campaigns to be carried out in Vinod’s area, as party is not satisfied from his present way of doing election campaign. Vinod’s name appeared in third list off AAP candidates.

Vinod kumar said he was called at kothi number 104 in sector 18-D of Chandigarh, on 12th of November at around 4:30 to 5.00 in the evening. He alleged that Sanjay singh , Durgesh Pathak’s team was sitting there , they told him that , he is not doing campaign properly. He further alleged he replied that his whole family along with 35 others is going door to door and they will further intensify the campaign as there are 4 months still in elections. But senior leaders instead said they are not satisfied and demanded 1 crore from him.

Vinod kumar also alleged that senior AAP leaders offered him 35 lakhs to leave his seat, arrange a press conference where in he should disclose that he is leaving because of his family problem. Taking his allegations to further extent, he even alleged that AAP supremo Arvind Kajriwal when contacted by him about this problem , told him to do what ever Sanjay singh and others are telling him to do.

Sanjay singh’s reply to Allegations

When Sanjay singh was contacted on this issue , he cleared declined all the charges at once, even said these kind of charges are not new for him. He said such allegations were in Delhi elections too but in the end nothing came out against him. He said at meeting in Sangrur it was decided that tickets of the candidate will be taken back if they found not performing well. He said it was found the Vinod kumar was misleading on his campaign which is the reason for his ticket cancellation.

Sanjay singh quoted example of Delhi and Punjab from the past when such allegations came up against him, he said Asif Mohammed in Delhi alleged corruption charges against him along with Kingra in Punjab, but nothing came out of the charges. Sanjay requested in challenging tone that any one may investigate against him , if anything is found against him, he will leave politics at once, even public life.

Sanjay singh even called upon people of Punjab, specially youth to shoot him , if he is found guilty of taking a single rupee of bribe. He said youth of Punjab should severe by the name of Bhagat singh , that if anything proved against him or any party member , they should kill them. He said they came here with a mission and anyone betraying with mission should not be spared at any cost.

Sanjay singh gave very simple logic, that if he or party is asking for money now , it should have given ticket after getting the money in advance. He said allegations are baseless and are result of frustration of loosing ticket only.

About the new candidate from the seat , Sanjay singh named contractor Amarjeet singh, and further informed that if required more seats will be taken back from the candidates who are not performing well with election campaign.
