Differences in the BJP party unit of Tarn Taran

Differences in the BJP party unit of Tarn Taran are coming up to the surface. The core of the issue is Sarbjit Kaur Batth, who has recently been appointed chairperson of the Tarn Taran improvement trust. District President of the BJP Navreet Singh Safipur along with 33 other member of the BJP party unit of Tarn Taran resigned in protest against the appointment of Sarabjit Kaur Bath.

They have sent their written resignation to the party’s state president Vijay Sampla as a mark of protest. He alleged that Sarabjit Kaur Bath is a corrupt person and party was already informed in Amritsar about her alleged inappropriate actions but party has ignored their demand of not appointing her on any important post which will bring bad name to the party.

It is election time in Punjab, almost all parties are gearing up for elections as its going to be very hard competition in Punjab. It’s first time that we’ll have triangular competition with AAP as new entrant as earlier its use to be Congress Vs Akali-BJP. Differences in the party cadres of all the parties come to surface specially with major issue being ticket distribution but the present issue is bit different.

BJP state president Vijay Sampla has given no reaction on this issue. On the other hand focus of the issue Sarbjit Kaur’s reaction is also awaited. Navreet singh safipur has warned the party not to appoint her on any important post or whole of the BJP Tarn Taran unit will resign, this was the first reaction of her appointment.
