Farmers of Delhi Unhappy with AAP government
Farmers of country’s capital Delhi, which is being ruled by AAP ,are not happy with the government policies for farmers especially the commercial rate at which they are forced to buy electricity. Inflated bills of electricity which some claimed are being charged at 8.50 rupees per unit, are the main reason of discontent among the farmers.
One of the farmers told that they met the concerned minister and told him about the problem, but although the minister insured action to resolve their problem but actually nothing happened, no action was taken by the department.
Farmers even complained that there are no facilities for the farmers in Delhi, no subsidy or insurance scheme and it seems like government is unwilling to help them and it don’t want them to do farming at all. There is shortage of fertilizers and insecticides in the state.
Farmers have decided to meet the Prime minister , Narendra modi, to convey their concerns and will request him to look into the matter and help them to get out of this problem and also provide them with the facilities other farmers from different states.
AAP is really under scanner, specially with reference to its claims to provide best facilities in the state like Punjab, where main occupation of the people is farming. Farmers problem should be addressed by the Delhi government on the priority basis, if it is looking forward to win Punjab in the upcoming election of 2017.
