The Mobile World Congress today has kicked off with most of the smartphone, networking & silicon enterprises displaying their new products & technologies. Oppo has announced its brand new Smart Sensor Image Stabiliser Technology at the MWC in Barcelona today.
This product is the first of its kind in case of smartphones. This new technology detects the motion on the three axis & immediate compensation, thus making the images clearer. OPPO has claimed that the process takes just fifteen milliseconds as compared to fifty other smartphones. The power consumption too is much less at 10 milliwatts. This first local level image stabilization in the world has been only possible because the challenge of stabilization of lens has been achieved now only.
OPPO has also showcased its latest VOOC fast charger. The first VOOC flash charger was launched by OPPO in the year 2013. Oppo has now said that now five minutes of charging will give up to two hours of talk time, fixing one of the largest pain point for the users.Eighteen million phones with VOOC have been sold so far as said by OPPO.
The buzz here is also about the Samsung’s press conference which seemed to be the biggest push for then consumer VR technology till now. Each person who attended this is awed by the scale of what Samsung has done although not everyone enjoyed this long VR experience.
Sony today has also launched the Xperia X & Xperia XA at the Mobile World Congress. The launch of this product came as a surprise to a lot as the company has not been much successful with its new launches. The two devices will carry forward the Xperia design & will have an improved camera & battery backup. A very attractive device here is the Nokia Ozo VR camera that will in all probability be the first ever cinema grade virtual reality recorder.
This device comes with an ability to record and save up to forty five minutes of audio & video. The VR quality is very high standard. Nokia has in mind that it will be capable of revolutionising the movie making. The camera has a starting price of sixty thousand dollars & the professional models will be more costly.
The other astonishing launch is the Huawei Matebook two-in-one which is based on Intel Core M processor. This a lookalike of Surface Pro 4 and can be a serious threat to the Microsoft flagship.
