Rahul’s ‘soldiers’ train guns on Capt, condemn his remarks

Certain senior Congress leaders used the party’s political conference at Baisakhi Mela here today to attack former Chief Minister and Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh. No one from Amarinder’s camp came to the conference including Capt.

The mood of the leaders at the conference presented a strong message of accepting Rahul Gandhi as the next party president. The title song of most of the speakers was to project Rahul as the next guide and leader of the party.

A struggle is on between Bajwa and Amarinder camps over handing the control of the party to Rahul Gandhi. Though Amarinder says Rahul Gandhi should wait and gain more experience, Bajwa has been claiming that it is the right time for him to get into the power.

Ludhiana MP Ravneet said the Congress would not bear anything against Rahul Gandhi.

He said, “No doubt he is senior leader but Congress members would not allow remarks against the able leadership of Rahul Gandhi.”

He proclaimed if the Congress came to power the next time, it would set up special courts to award punishment to people involved in NDPS cases.
