Robbers strike SBI Mukatsar Branch
Just after the news of Axis Bank van looted at Rajpura’s news became viral, there is a consecutive news of another robbery. Latest strike was on SBI Mukatsar Branch , where robbers came in the broad day light looted the bank’s branch at village Saravan Bodla.
As per the available information, robbers took away around twenty seven lacs of cash, along with 50 gms of Gold from the SBI branch. Now interestingly robbers were smart enough , as they took away the CCTV recordings, leaving away no proof behind them. Amazingly there was no security guard posted with the bank branch, which made the things much easier for the robbers, who executed the crime without any problem.
One of the eye witness told the media persons that there were around 6 robbers, who came on motor cycles. After entering the bank they asked for mobiles from all the clients present inside the branch and then entered the managers room to get cash. There were in total five employees working with bank, out of which 3 were on leave. Two employees present in the bank were also injured by the robbers.
Mr. Ashish Chaudary , DIG, told the media persons that , incident took place at around 2 to 2:30 pm in the broad day light. About the security guard , he told that , this bank was below the limit set for security guards, so no one was employed with the bank. He also confirmed that DVR was taken away by the robbers. But he assured that robbers will soon be caught by the police.
This is second crime committed in the state in the two days. Earlier one crore plus, cash was looted by the robbers and one of the guard was also injured.
