Two Major accidents were averted today, one at Goa Airport and one at Delhi Airport. At Goa airport Jet Airways aircraft was about to takeoff to Mumbai, when it skidded on run away and takeoff failed. Airplane was scheduled to takeoff in the morning at around 4:40 a.m. but flight was cancelled after the accident. There were around 154 passengers on board at the time of accident.
There were 7 crew members were also on the board. All the passengers and crew members were taken from the plane safely and no one was seriously injured. Around 15 passengers sustained minor injuries. Minister of Aviation of India has given orders for complete inquiry of the incident.
In second major incident, many lives were put to danger because of some technical or human error. Two plans came face to face at Delhi Airport. One plane was said to belong to Indigo and another one of Spice jet company. As per the information available Indigo flight was moving from runaway to taxiway after landing at airport and on the other hand spice jet plane was getting ready to takeoff.
All of sudden pilots found two plans approaching each other, but both applied emergency breaks and collision was avoided somehow. DGCA has ordered inquiry into the incident, as it seems to be human error.
